Meshuggah have spoken to Rock Sound about their reasons for the cancellation of their planned November 07 tour with Dillinger Escape Plan. The band were still recording their latest record 'ObZen' and did not want to disturb the creative process.
''We really rushed The Nothing album because we had to leave to go to Ozzfest, and in our eyes the production on that album really suffered,'' admits drummer Tomas Haake. ''This time round we really did not want anything like that to happen again. If it was 3 or 4 years ago we probably would have done the Dillinger tour then come back and continued with the album, but this time we felt we needed to remain focused and not disturb the evolution of the album so we could get the best results.''
