To contact our RSVP letters page, e-mail rsvp@rock-sound.net.
Reviews: To get your band's album/EP/single reviewed in Rock Sound, send a copy to the address above, marking it for the attention of the reviews editor. Make sure you include contact details (phone number / address / e-mail address / website). Please note that we receive hundreds of records and cannot review anything we receive. For full releases, please send promos around two months prior to the release date.
Demos: If you would like to see your band's demo featured in the pages of Rock Sound, send a copy of it (preferably on CD), along with a brief biography and recent photo to the address above. Please mark your envelope 'here's our demo - don't be scared', and include your contact details (phone number / address / e-mail address / website).
Please note: Being a monthly magazine, we tend to work six to eight weeks in advance of the magazine hitting the streets. So, for example, if your release comes out at the end of June, we would need a review copy by the end of April / start of May. We try to listen to everything we get, but unfortunately don't always have the space to review all the material submitted to Rock Sound. If you have a specific enquiry about an album / EP / single / demo, please send an e-mail to tim.newbound@rock-sound.net.
Work experience: We get a huge number of requests and you need to contact us well in advance. We look for people to come for a placement of one month. We would like to see your CV, some examples of your work, and some words on why you want to do a placement at Rock Sound. Please e-mail rachel.kellehar@rock-sound.net for editorial placements, and alistair.cook@rock-sound.net for design placements.
Advertising: For all issues, contact ben.crudgington@rock-sound.net.
About the Rock Sound staff:
Darren Taylor, Editor

Sometimes we wonder how 'Dirty Dog Taylor' finds time to run a magazine - as he can be seen out every night in London clutching a drink someone's bought him (he never buys his own) and watching shit hot bands (and some just shit ones). Always championing new bands, to keep Darren's head from swelling, we often remind him that he was the first person to write about Mushroomhead in the UK!
Currently playing: Time To Burn - 'Is.Land'
Most recent film I saw and liked: Juno
Best thing about working at Rock Sound: The stress, the great music and the cakes.
Last gig: Pelican / High On fire
You need to know this band: This Will Destroy You
If you see me at the bar I'll have: Vodka & Red Bull and another Vodka & Red Bull. Thanks!
E-mail Darren Taylor
Darren Sadler, Deputy Editor

The Dadler - as he's known these days - has cast his wild debauched days to one side and instead enjoys hiding behind his facial hair and chilling out. Despite cutting down on the Vodka, and kicking the roll-ups into touch, he's still rock sound's 'metal maniac' - and spends most of his days discussing the importance of dodgy metal bands that no-one else likes or cares about. Secretly everyone wishes they were as cool as him, but they know there is only one Daddy.
Favourite album: Isis 'Oceanic' (at the moment anyway!)
Favourite film: Christmas Carol (cos I was in it) or Lord Of The Rings Trilogy
Best thing about working at Rock Sound: Listening to music all day
If you see me at the bar I'll have: Jack Daniel's and coke (large with ice)
E-mail Darren Sadler
Tim Newbound, Chief Sub Editor / Reviews Editor

We call him smiler 'cos nothing upsets our Timmy (honest) and he's always
full of the joys of life. When he's not thrilling everyone with yarns about
late trains and what DVD he got out this week, he divides his time between
attempting to spot errers in RS and having breakdowns trying to make sure
everything gets reviewed. His ability to break things is remarkable, so
never lend him anything.
Currently playing: Smoke Or Fire 'This Sinking Ship'
Favourite film: La Haine
Best thing about working at Rock Sound: Writing about bands I love; the people I work with too.
If you see me at the bar I'll have: A hangover.

Patrick Napier, Publisher

Unfortunately Patrick was forced to give up his Lagwagon t-shirt earlier this year after his baby daughter made her feelings known about her father's bad musical tastes by puking all over it. He' since switched to a SUM 41 shirt, which means no one will ever stand near Patrick at a show. Occasionally Patrick splashes out and treats us all to a McDonalds Happy Meal, but normally he just ties us all to our desks to make sure we all work for our pennies.
Favourite album: Salif Keita – Moffou
Favourite film: Pulp Fiction
Best thing about working at Rock Sound: Cracking the whip, in love not given lightly!
If you see me at the bar I'll have: Mojito por favor
E-mail Patrick
Andy Kelham, Webmonkey

Andrew Kelham is Rock Sound's very own walking, talking encyclopaedia of hardcore and emo knowledge. Ask him about any band and Mr Kelham (as he likes to be known) will promptly spout forth every single known (and unknown) fact there is to know about any band you care to name. He also likes heaps of metal, isn't afraid to tell it how it is and also calls himself an urbanist - which is layman's terms means sitting around all day playing Sim City.
Favourite album: At this present moment...Thrice 'Vhiessu'
Favourite film: Anchorman...'Ladies and gentlemen, can I please have your attention. I've just been handed an urgent and horrifying news story. I need all of you, to stop what you're doing and listen. Cannonball!'
Best thing about working at Rock Sound: The joys of the plus one.
If you see me at the bar I'll have: Tinnitus
E-mail Andy
Ben Crudgington, Advertising Sales Manager

Hailing from Essex, when xBenx (he's straight edge boys and girls) is not hanging out with the likes of Chantelle and Jodie Marsh and driving his pimped-up purple Fiesta around Romford, the smooth talking ginger nut will help promote your bands and records in your favourite monthly magazine. With the words 'The world is my stage' inked on his skin, xBenx is a true groover and lover of all good music.
Favourite album: Refused - 'The Shape Of Punk To Come'
Favourite film: The Shawshank Redemption
Best thing about working at Rock Sound: The open mindedness to so many different bands and genres of music.
If you see me at the bar I'll have: just enough money to get myself a drink, so don't even ask! ;)

Rachel Kellehar, Production Co-ordinator / Staff Writer

Kellehar's the indie girl at Rock Sound. She's the one that makes sure the good ship Rock Sound sails smoothly through the choppy waters we call deadlines. When not chained to her desk, you'll find her down the front at gigs with a glass of wine... Did we say glass? We meant bottle...
Favourite film: City Of Lost Children by Jean Pierre Jeunet
Favourite album: 'OK Computer' - Radiohead
Best thing about working at Rock Sound: The accidental mid week partying.
Currently listening to: 'Get Evens' - The Evens
